Have you always liked writing?

Yes, I love writing and started in the 3rd grade when I wrote The Mystery of the Green Hand. I write everyday, write poetry, and took a children’s writing course at The Institute of Children’s Literature.

Can anyone write a story or book?

Yes! If that is your dream, keep practicing writing everyday.

Why didn’t you draw the pictures?

I am not good at drawing, but I am at writing. I worked with a wonderful illustrator, Thomas McAteer, to make Goldy’s Baby Socks “come alive.” I had ideas of how I wanted the pictures, and Thomas had ideas, so we worked as a team.

Does your cat really bring socks?

Oh yes! She is so funny. I told Goldy she is a star – She smiled and purred!
